Proposal and Justifications

I am planning to create a template for a clothing website. The website will be orientated towards both genders and all ages, so nobody will be left out. The company is going to be named after the Greek/Roman God, 'Apollo'.

My main target audience is based at the believers of the God's, and for ages above 12.
The purpose of this product is to entice the target audience to wear and promote their business by showing the logo. I want the brand to expand globally and become a new trend with comfortable, affordable designer clothes. I want my company to be represented by sport leaders who can and will give us sponsors to help build out business.

The video is a flip-chart of images showing the products, including shoes, t-shirts and backpacks. The images display the colour of the products, the fit of the products and a physical representation.

The H&S report, Recce, talent release, location release will be completed before production.
The talent release will impact my video the most because I need confirmation on my 'actors' before production, and if I do not acquire them in time, the production will have to either be postponed until I can find another candidate or cancelled.

I will be using PremirePro to edit my video, Photoshop to modify my images for the website and PowerPoint to display these.

I will be using these file types when creating my video, website and production. .mov, jpg, pptx.

Scanning and Sketching

1. The task that we were set was to take an image from the internet of our choice and trace it.

2. Once this had been done, we then had to scan both the coloured and traced image. Each image was scanned four times but with different DPI's ranging from 100DPI all the way up to 600DPI.

3. The results shown suggest that the higher the DPI the better the quality and more clear the image is for showing detail. To make sure that this was fair, each scanned image was set to the same file type (JPEG).

Image Manipulation

25%

50%

75%

125%

150%

200%

When I look at these images on my phone there is no change at all and no loss of quality. Much like on the monitor of the computer, but there is a slight difference between the two. Finally, on the interactive board there is a huge loss of quality with any of the images above the size of 100%. This means that smaller image sizes work better on the board and bigger images work better on the monitor and phone.

The images above except the original have been changed into a PNG and all have the resized image number beside them in brackets. The higher percentage that the resized image gets, the bigger the file size would be.

The images below are a step-by-step guide of how I was able to resize an image without using any tools within the Adobe Photoshop toolbar. The image has been set as medium quality, meaning that the file size is not going to be too big.

Health and safety form

What is the purpose of each document?
Risk Assessment Form:

It is a form for any risks/hazards that you have seen that could become a threat to either the public, yourself or any other equipment that you might be using. It then contains contents of whether the action plain is Low, Medium or High meaning that actions could be done quicker or slower depending on how bad the risk could be. The Assessor and Line Manager both have to sign this document before anything can take place.

Adult Talent Agreement Release:

This form is an agreement between the photographer and the performer, both of them will have to sign this form due to the requirements that they both will follow. As long as they both agree to this form their will be no disagreements or regrets. This form also provides the model's age, name and number. Then it also has the Talent, Address and the date of the production.

Minor Talent Release:

This is much like the Adult Talent Agreement but it is for children under the age of 18. Also this contains the consent of a parent/guardians signature, saying that they accept the terms and conditions. It also has the phone number of either a parent or guardian. This would be if the photographer cannot get contact of the Model.

Location Release:

This document is a consent of a property/location owner allowing you to use a place for a certain amount of time for how many days you would like it for. It is a place for you stay whilst you are doing work within that area. It asks for a signature from a crew member and that the owner has signed it as well. A phone number of both people will be left on the form for contact reasons and the address for the crew member for any damage done to the room will be his responsibility.

Feedback from peers and tutor

Quality Comparisons

These images have all been taken by myself and my partner, Max. We were set the task to go around the college and take photos that are positive towards it. I chose 3 images, the lecture hall, the Poulson build and finally an image of the gym. Each of these images have different resolutions and have been zoomed in on certain points by 500% to see if the quality of the images has stayed or decides to all pixel-late.

Resizing the zoomed in image was very easy. All I did was take a screenshot of the zoomed in image, sized it up so it fitted in the bottom hand corner but still had the same quality as it would at 500% zoom. I then just drew two lines to which section of image I had zoomed in on and connected it to the box in the bottom right. Making it easier to understand what I had done.
